NASHVILLE, Tenn. July 11, 2023 – Vibronyx, Inc., a minority- and veteran-owned technology and analytics service company, has been awarded a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase I contract by the Air Force.
Specifically, the awarded contract will leverage Vibronyx technology and expertise and invest in enhancing the company’s AI-powered Digital Supply Chain Twin technology for Air Force and National Defense applications. An example use case for this breakthrough solution is to model the Air Force’s processes to maintain its aging fleet of C130 aircrafts and better predict demand for parts, enabling more responsive fulfillment by Air Force and Department of Defense Agency partners. In practice, this solution will improve collaboration with commercial Defense Industrial Base suppliers and ultimately optimize sustainment and readiness of the fleet to dominate air power.
“The Vibronyx Digital Supply Chain Twin (DSCT) can solve for a host of challenges, from overcoming geopolitical disruptions to the need for accurate demand forecasting and fulfillment,” said Vibronyx CEO Clayton Nicholas. “This award will allow us to accelerate development of our DSCT solution, further unlocking new capabilities for proactive decision-making, predictive analytics and optimizing supply chain operations.”
SBIR programs are highly competitive and aim to meet federal research and development needs; stimulate technological innovation; and increase private-sector commercialization of innovations derived from federal research and development. The primary objective of this AF SBIR open call is for “exploring innovative technologies applicable to both defense and non-defense markets, scaling capability, and growing the industrial base for defense.”
With the combination of the AF SBIR Phase I contract and notable partnerships across commercial markets and the Department of Defense, Vibronyx is well-positioned to solve long standing challenges and spearhead data-driven supply chain innovation and transformation.
